Product description

Clearing the forest is a challenging and dangerous task. The sloping terrain, abundance of branches and holes, and wet conditions increase the risks of injury for workers. Fortunately, there has been significant progress in improving safety in this field. ‘Chutes en forêt’ is a special episode of the TV and web series ‘Facteurs de risque’, produced by Savoir média and the IRSST. The Risk Factors series has been viewed more than one million times on all platforms.

Aims and objectives

In this video, we demonstrate in a playful way the strategies used by forestry workers to reduce the risk of falls. We review protective equipment, work methods, training and work planning. We also talk to workers in the field to get their perception of the risks.
